Dr Niu Lizhi graduated from the Fourth Military Medical University with a doctoral degree in Thoracic & Cardiac Surgery. He currently serves as Dean of Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital， President of the 23rd International Society of Cryosurgery， Advisor to the 7th Asian Society of Cryosurgery， Doctoral Supervisor at Jinan University， Vice President of Guangdong Tumor Rehabilitation Society， and Chairman of the 4th Committee of Tumor Hyperthermia and Ablation Branch of Guangzhou Anti-Cancer Association. He has published more than 300 papers， including 112 SCI-indexed articles， contributed to over 20 medical monographs (as chief editor of four)， and secured 25 research grants.
Dr. Niu specializes in tumor cryoablation， microwave ablation， irreversible electroporation (NanoKnife) ablation， and radioactive seed implantation. He is particularly outstanding in the minimally invasive treatment of solid tumors such as lung cancer， liver cancer， kidney cancer， and pancreatic cancer. Under his leadership， the Fuda team has completed more than 10，000 complex cryotherapy procedures， over 1，000 NanoKnife ablation procedures， and more than 5，000 radioactive seed implantation procedures. His patients have ranged in age from a 4-year-old child to a 94-year-old elderly person， and from foreign health ministers and celebrities to ordinary citizens — all achieving satisfactory outcomes. Nanfang Daily commented of him： "He is a master of the two 'knives' as well as a psychological counselor." "When it comes to the 'light cavalry' of tumor treatment — cryoablation with the Argon-Helium Knife and NanoKnife therapy — Niu Lizhi， President of Fuda Cancer Hospital， is a name that cannot be avoided." Guangdong Dangfeng magazine has likewise hailed Dean Niu Lizhi as the "Knight of the Two Knives."
